(A poem in tribute to Mark Bloch & Amanda Lynn Rossmiller)

Nothing is the life,
you robbed from an unborn child;
nothing, the money,
you took to teach me, "nothing,"
nothing,
the love you spent,
by calling me, "not fluxus."

Nothing was the friendship,
Of Danielle Rose;
in the time of my greatest suffering.

Nothing was the teaching of Chris Alar,
condemning me for being transgender;
and nothing, Father Joseph,
the act he did not take to reprove him.

Nothing was my family gave me,
when they had me arrested;
without just cause,
and threw me into the psyche ward.

Nothing was what Brooks Landon gave me,
when he said, "stop emailing me!"

Nothing is what we give the children starving in Gaza;
and nothing to the little girls,
bombed by American teens;
simply for doing school work.

Nothing is what we offer our children,
by doing nothing at all.
