It is said that mail art can offer resistance. But the kinds of resistance that people call for, it is not generally born out of love and compassion, but out of hatred and violence. MLK knew that the only effective resistance is born out of courage and love. The Catholics say of him, “he was not even Catholic,” but I say, he was more Catholic than most every Catholic.
If you want to slay the beast America; and if you want to slay the beast Rome, you must follow in the footsteps of MLK. An organized protest born out of love, courage, and compassion. You cannot put out fire with fire; you cannot drive out darkness with darkness; or hatred with hatred; you must bear love.
