This is a work of mine on the subject of Spiritual Communion. Catholic prophecy foretells a time, which I believe to be the present hour, where in the Churches, “they shall eat only bread.” Holy Communion becomes unconsecrated, because Rome has lost the faith; the priests stand before the altar, lifting up their sacrifice to God, but without faith in Rome. It is said of this time that Jesus, himself, shall console the faithful; and this can be asked for, simply by saying to him, “feed me your body & blood, Jesus.”
